When did you learn to do that!!!

Our little Baby Brea is now 9 months old and not such a little baby. She is following in the foot steps of big sister Maryjane, petite and strong. Grammy thinks that she will be walking by the end of the month, I'm beginning to think that she might be right!

Double the trouble, double the fun!

Brea is now 8 months old and tries her hardest to do everything like her big sis. If Maryjane has something, Brea wants it. If Maryjane goes somewhere, Brea tries to follow. They entertain each other for hours. Even though she doesn't always feel like sharing or playing with her younger sibling, Maryjane is a good sport. She is very sweet and caring when it comes to her baby sister - most of the time.
Maryjane continues to grow into a polite young lady remembering her manners most of the time and makes sure she reminds us that she loves us "so much". Brea keeps us on our toes with her quick little hands that grab everything and shoves it into her mouth. Now that she is cutting her first tooth, maybe that will change, I hope.

Playtime!

Brea follows MJ through the tunnel.

Maryjane loves, loves, loves her little sis.

Brea wants to help with mom's plants too, or is she just trying to eat dirt?

Fun times!

As I predicted this "spring" has been busy. (A fresh coat of snow has crushed our spring fever for now.) Maryjane is starting gymnastics classes and loves it. She is one of the more energetic kids in her class. Brea is using anything and everything she gets her hands on to stand up right. We have even caught her trying the stairs! We have Rondy'd, watched the Iditarod, and just plain played hard.

MJ trying out the balance beam.

Gotta keep an eye on Brea - she just wants to be a big girl too!

Time flies.....

It is already the end of February, the days are getting longer and the temperature a little warmer. Hopefully that means more time for outside activities. Maryjane had her first ice skating experience (at the lagoon of course) and did great. She was able to stand on her own!
Brea is always trying to catch up to big sis. She has been mobile for a while, but is now starting to crawl. It will be no time before she is scurrying after her sister. Brea has proven herself unpredictable and we never know what to expect from her next. One thing is for sure, she loves being in the company of Maryjane.

Baby Brea

It is amazing how fast things progress with a second child. All of a sudden Brea is in full baby mode; she is eating a small variety of foods, is almost able to sit up right without help and rolls over like a pro. Every week she surprises us with something new. Now that she is a little more active, Maryjane is on high alert to protect her things. I am constantly in awe (and a tinge jealous) of the bond between these sisters.

Goodbye 2010, Hello 2011

The Cousins

The holidays were good to us. We are very lucky to have great friends and family to share them with. We started this year like most others, at the cabin. We couldn't have asked for much better weather. It was a whooping 40 degrees!
As the weeks pass, Maryjane gets more and more independent, and Brea just keeps growing and growing and growing. We had a fantastic 2010, and look forward to everything 2011 has to offer.
